Please read our terms and conditions in full before purchasing a product. Your continued use of this website confirms your acceptance of the below terms.

Between Classic Caricature and the Customer

Full payment of the products must be made before your order can be accepted. Such payment methods are debit card, credit card or PayPal. Once we have received full payment through the website, you will receive a confirmation email to state your order is being processed. This email creates a legal binding contract between us. Classic Caricature will not have accepted any legal binding commitment to you unless and until you receive a confirmation email.

Once your order has been accepted, Classic Caricature we start designing your caricature either using a template you have chosen or free hand. We aim to complete the caricature within 10 working days from the date purchased however if the design agreed is particularly complicated, it may take longer for the design to be created. In these instances we would contact you with a likely date of completion.

The caricature will be based on a template or agreed specific customer requests. Before the completion of the order online, it is your responsibility to ensure that items being ordered are correct. Classic Caricature has no obligation to amend your design if you fail to agree all elements of your design prior to ordering.

Your electronic digital caricature will be provided to you in both a PNG and JPEG file to the email address provided at the time of ordering. Classic Caricature has no obligation to provide the electronic digital caricature in any other formats. You are responsible for providing the correct email address for delivery.

Your hand drawn caricature will be posted to you by Royal Mail to the shipping address provided at the time ordering. Classic Caricature has no obligation to provide any other postal couriers. You are responsible for providing the correct shipping address for delivery.

Please allow for up to 7 working days for delivery of a hand drawn caricature following the dispatch of the artwork.

You are also responsible for making sure your PC has the correct filters and settings so that you can receive any messages and artwork sent to you from us.

Amendments or Changes To The Caricature

It is your responsibility to provide as much information as possible during the ordering process, not after the artwork has been completed and sent. Adding content that was not requested before the artwork was created may incur a fee as this will take time for us to apply the changes. 

If you are unsatisfied with an electronic digital caricature, you must contact us adding the reasons why and where possible, we will try to rectify the issues raised within 5 working days of receiving your message. If the amendments are possible however complicated we will notify you a date when the corrections can be made and sent. 

Classic Caricature will not be able to amend any hand drawn pieces once started so please make sure we are aware of all requirements of the caricature when placing your order.

Classic Caricature will not amend any designs where insufficient and incorrect information has been given or a wrong template has been ordered.

Cancellation or Refund

A caricature is a bespoke personalised item and under the distance selling regulations act, your rights to cancel or claim a refund are waived for a bespoke personalised item. This being said, under certain circumstances Classic Caricature can refund a client if:

  • A client has cancelled their purchase before any artwork has been started.
  • If only a rough sketch has been produced, a part refund could be provided. However this is at our discretion.

If we do not hear from you within 10 working days of receiving your caricature, we will assume that the artwork is satisfactory.

Classic Caricature designs are our interpretation of the subject matter and we have no liability to you if our interpretation is unsatisfactory to you. You do not have the right to return any artwork digital or hand drawn. Cancelling orders that have already been created and delivered is not possible for this reason.

Cancelling By Us

We reserve the right to cancel the contract between us if:

  • We have been given insufficient stock to deliver the items you have ordered
  • The information or photos given contains offensive or inappropriate content
  • We cannot deliver to your area
  • The product ordered was listed on our website at an incorrect price due to a typographical error

If we cancel your order we will notify you by email and will refund you the amount paid. We will not be obliged to offer any additional compensation for disappointment suffered.

Photographs

  • For best results we do recommend several clear photographs of each person being drawn.
  • Photos ideally need to be of different angles of the face to allow us to get a good view of the facial structure. 
  • The Photos should have good lighting and no obstructions to the face. (Sunglasses or hats)

Classic Caricature do not know any person(s) we are commissioned to draw, and therefore we rely on your photographs to show a true likeness of the individual(s).

When providing photos to be caricatured you shall not send any material:

  • Which you have not obtained all necessary consent
  • That is discriminatory, obscene, pornograhic, defamatory, liable to incite racial hatred or in breach of confidentiality or privacy
  • That is harmful in nature such as, computer viruses, trojan horses, corrupted data, or any other harmful software or data.

Classic Caricature will fully cooperate with any law enforcement authorities or court order, requiring us to disclose the identity or other details of any person sending prohibited images or data.

Products

The prices stated on our site are in pounds sterling and include VAT. All prices for UK customers are inclusive of delivery costs and charges (Excluding Highlands and Islands). Charges will apply for all customers outside of the UK.

Classic Caricature is not liable for any damage that may arise from the use of the products ordered.

Intellectual Property Rights

Intellectual property rights remain with Classic Caricature at all times unless discussed with us separately. The Classic Caricature digital products are all copyrighted and you are therefore not permitted to copy and/or distribute your purchased digital products.

You are also not permitted to modify your artwork and share or distribute it.

Privacy

Please read our Privacy Policy found in the website footer to see what we do with your information. Agreeing to these terms you also accept our use of personal information to process your order.

Website Uptime

We will try to give advance warning of maintenance work being completed on our website but we shall not be obliged to provide notice that the website will be temporarily down.

Postage and Packaging

All unframed caricatures are packaged in a hardback envelope or rigid cardboard tube (depending on size) to ensure the artwork reaches you in perfect condition.

All framed caricatures are packaged using corrugated cardboard.

All caricatures are posted using Royal Mail, either 1st or 2nd class. Once we have posted the artwork to Royal Mail, we hold no responsibility for the package if damaged.

Lastly

Our aim at Classic Caricature is to capture a person in a fun, cartoon style, with exaggerated features. We try to be funny and never mean.

Our caricatures are created on how we imagine the person’s character and look to be from the quality and content of the photos and information given to us.
